DOH-Alachua Healthiest Weight Florida - Walking Wednesdays - Employee Wellness Walks
Healthiest Weight Florida and the Wellness Leaders at DOH-Alachua will be offering group walks on Wednesdays during lunch breaks for staff members. These walks take place twice a day, and all fitness levels are welcome - this is an "at your own pace" activity!Food Day Zen Pumpkin Soup Cooking Demo
Florida Organic Growers and Hogtown Homegrown, in partnership with Healthiest Weight Florida, will be celebrating Food Day with a Zen Pumpkin Soup Cooking Demo at the Union Street Farmers Market. The cooking demo will be on Wednesday, October 22 from 5:30 -6:30 P in downtown Gainesville. The farmers market is from 4-7 pm.DOH-Alachua HWF – Employee “Healthy Choices” Food Day Pot Luck will be held on October 24th
The theme of the Food Day celebration is “Healthy Choices”, and those dishes that qualify as a healthy choice will be added to a 2014 Food Day Recipe Book to be made available on our Sharepoint. Nutrition guidelines and recipes have been provided for guidance. The Food Day celebration will be held in the main auditorium from 11:30 -1:30P on Friday, October 24th.
