The Primary Care Program cannot pay for hospitalization or the delivery of babies. Primary Care patients who are not eligible for We Care and receive treatment in the hospital or emergency room will be responsible for the hospital bill.
Based upon available resources, DOH-Alachua accepts new primary care patients regardless of income, insurance status, or Medicaid status. Fees are applied on a sliding scale based on the federal poverty guidelines.
